🖍MOTOR SKILL MONDAY🖍
We often receive questions on children as young as 2 and 3 who their mums think are unable to write. 📝 We’re not teachers but as mums we would like to tell all of you to stop rushing writing skills before it is the appropriate age for a child to write. All you should do as mothers is help them to enhance their fine motor skills to help them grasp their writing skills when the age comes.
This time we make use of buttons to re create patterns like swirls, zig zags and more. This helped my daughter and her friend to concentrate while also assisting with hand eye coordination.
If you do not have button, you may like to use gemstones, string, stones, pebbles, bottle tops, pompoms, shells or other small tokens for this activity.
This looks easier than you think because even five year olds struggled a bit. You can also mix it up and make them sort colours or add letters and numbers to help their pre writing skills.
